What is an "AGGRESSIVE" CAMSHAFT LOBE DESIGN ?

In the last few months I have noticed a number of published and verbal references to the word AGGRESSIVE being used to describe camshafts.

When I ask the question of the verbal use of this word to the person talking to me "DESCRIBE AGGRESSIVE", I get a variety of answers!

Most people say "HIGH ACCELERATION". Some say "HIGH VELOCITY".

In my opinion, these terms are not correct.

The TRUTH is the INTENSITY (MAJOR, MINOR or HYDRAULIC) should be used to describe AGGRESSIVE!

When these INTENSITIES are SMALLER on one camshaft as compared to another camshaft, then in my opinion, the camshaft that has a

SMALLER NUMBER OF INTENSITY
IS MORE "AGGRESSIVE" THAN THE OTHER.

For information on INTENSITY see the story in my web site named  INTENSITY & DURATION.
