This is a NO-PULSE type ramp.
This type of ramp has none of the "NORMAL" characteristics of any
"PUBLISHED" ramp!
Some people will say "This design doesn't have a RAMP"! That is because they
have no practical experence of using this type of ramp (ON THE OPENING SIDE
ONLY).
I have been using this style of a ramp on the opening side of designs since
1973!
This example has no normal "RAMP HEIGHT" data (as described by Harvey
Crane's method) listed in my RAMP SECRETS section of this website.
The name NO-PULSE comes from the fact that the ACCELERATION CURVE does not
have any pulses or reversals in the shape of this curve. A constant velocity
type of ramp has a small pulse at the juncture where the velocity goes to
zero as the lift blends into the basecircle.
NO-PULSE became a registered trademark on September 20, 2005. Reg. No.
is 2,998,804. An ACCELERATED RAMP has a reversal in this acceleration curve. This
reversal could be called a pulse. |
